Bottom-ranked Jaszberenyi managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the three-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time they won against thirteenth-ranked Marso NYKK in Nyiregyhazi 74-69. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Marso NYKK won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American center Garrick Sherman (210-90, college: Notre Dame) notched 29 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Travis Cohn (188-89, college: Jacksonville) supported him with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds by Serbian power forward Zoran Krstanovic (204-82, agency: HMS) did not help to save the game for Marso NYKK. American guard Tate Unruh (193-90, college: N.Colorado, agency: Inception Sports) added 18 points for lost side. Jaszberenyi (4-18) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with defeated Marso NYKK. Marso NYKK lost fourth consecutive game. Jaszberenyi will meet at home league's second-placed ZTE KK in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Marso NYKK will play against Sopron KC (#6) and hope to secure a win.
