Regular Season Round 23: Szolnok - Falco KC 68-65

Seventh-ranked Falco KC (12-11) gave a tough game to third ranked Szolnok (18-5). Szolnok managed to secure only three-point victory 68-65. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Falco KC won fourth quarter 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Szolnok made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Falco KC was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized American power forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian forward Strahinja Milosevic (203-85) accounted for 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Szolnok's coach Peter Por allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American swingman Bradford Burgess (198-90, college: VCU, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Falco KC in the defeat. Four Falco KC players scored in double figures. Szolnok have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with ZTE KK and Atomeromu. Falco KC at the other side keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. Szolnok will play against Szedeak (#12) in Szeged in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Falco KC will play at home against Alba (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
