Very predictable result when second ranked ZTE KK (18-5) defeated on the road 13th ranked Jaszberenyi (4-19) 84-80 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 43-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: San Jose St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) helped adding 17 points. American center Garrick Sherman (210-90, college: Notre Dame) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian guard Miljan Rakic (195-86, agency: BeoExcell) scored 18 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ZTE KK have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Szolnok and Atomeromu. Loser Jaszberenyi keeps the thirteenth place with 19 games lost. ZTE KK will face Sopron KC (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Jaszberenyi will play against MAFC (#11) in Budapest and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
