No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Samara-SGEU (14-7) smashed on the road 9th ranked MBA Moscow (7-14) 81-61 on Friday. Samara-SGEU forced 19 MBA Moscow turnovers. Point guard Vasily Martynov (185-95) scored 16 points to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Grigoriy Andreev (193-90) chipped in 14 points during the contest. Four Samara-SGEU players scored in double figures. Guard Pavel Shavkunov (190-91) responded with 15 points and power forward Alexei Kuznetsov (205-84) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Samara-SGEU moved-up to third place, which they share with Univ.Surgut. MBA Moscow lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. Samara-SGEU will meet Universitet-Yugra (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. MBA Moscow will play against Khimky-Podmoskoye (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
