Regular Season Round 27: Tegas DR - Neftekhimik T. 80-111

There was no surprise in Dinskoy Rayon where 9th ranked Tegas DR (7-24) was crushed by second ranked Neftekhimik T. (23-6) 111-80 on Monday. Neftekhimik T. dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tegas DR's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Tegas DR's players. The best player for the winners was forward Denis Smetanin (200-88) who scored 19 points and 4 assists. Point guard Andrey Pavlov (191-86) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Five Neftekhimik T. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Ruslan Khakunov (192-90) who recorded 23 points and guard Klim Muskulis (185-88) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Neftekhimik T. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 23-6 record having nine points less than leader Dynamo-MGTU. Tegas DR at the other side stay dead last with 24 lost games. Neftekhimik T. will have a break next round. Tegas DR will play again at home against the league's second-placed Neftekhimik T. (#2) and hope to win that game.
