Regular Season Round 39: MBA-2 - UMMC Junior 74-50

The game in Moscow supposed to be also quite interesting. 6th ranked UMMC Junior (15-16) played at the court of seventh ranked MBA-2 (15-16). MBA-2 smashed UMMC Junior 74-50 on Monday. MBA-2 forced 24 UMMC Junior turnovers and outrebounded them 45-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for point guard Yulia Kozik (176-97) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points and 6 rebounds. Elizaveta Bratchikova (190-96) helped adding 5 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Olga Lavrova (182-95) with 12 points and swingman Sabina Abaidullina (181-97) scored 5 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA-2 moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated UMMC Junior. MBA-2 will again meet at home UMMC Junior (#7) in the next round. UMMC Junior will have a break next round.
