Ninth-ranked Sparta&K-2 V (9-23) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Dynamo-2 K. (26-6) in Vidnoye on Tuesday. The visitors from Kursk managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected much easier game. Dynamo-2 K. forced 26 Sparta&K-2 V turnovers and had a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Sparta&K-2 V helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Victoria Cheren (187-98) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Elizaveta Krymova (180-96) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Dynamo-2 K. players scored in double figures. Dynamo-2 K.'s coach Elena Shakirova used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Power forward Anastasiia Komarova (186-99) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) and Ksenia Sharova (178-98) added 18 points in the effort for Sparta&K-2 V. Dynamo-2 K. have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 26-6 record, which they share with Samara. Sparta&K-2 V lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 23 games lost. Dynamo-2 K. is looking forward to face league's second-placed Samara on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sparta&K-2 V will play against Voronezh-SKIF (#4) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
