Regular Season Round 28: Dynamo-MGTU - Sogdiana-Skif 78-97

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Dynamo-MGTU (28-6) in Maykop on Tuesday night. Hosts were rolled over by fifth ranked Sogdiana-Skif (16-14) 97-78. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Dynamo-MGTU. Sogdiana-Skif forced 20 Dynamo-MGTU turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Aleksey Almushev (198-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Dmitriy Prikhodko (185-92) contributed with 23 points and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Sogdiana-Skif players scored in double figures. Point guard Artem Gaposhin (185-91) replied with 17 points and 4 assists and guard Alexander Churaev (193-92) added 17 points in the effort for Dynamo-MGTU. Dynamo-MGTU's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sogdiana-Skif moved-up to fourth place. Dynamo-MGTU at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Sogdiana-Skif are looking forward to face Elbrus Cherk. (#7) in Cherkessk in the next round. Dynamo-MGTU will have a break next round.
