Regular Season Round 41: Samara - Dynamo-2 K. 72-66

There was a change at the Superleague leadership position after last games. Round 41 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Dynamo-2 K. (26-7). They were defeated by second ranked Samara (27-6) 72-66 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Dynamo-2 K.. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Guard Kristina Evseytcheva (174-91) stepped up and scored 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and swingman Yana Matveeva (186-92) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Samara players scored in double figures. Forward Victoria Cheren (187-98) responded with 17 points and center Elizaveta Shabanova (195-97) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Samara have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Dynamo-2 K. at the other side dropped to the second place with seven games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Samara. Dynamo-2 K. will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Samara will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Dynamo-2 K. in Kursk.
