Regular Season Round 26: MAFC - Atomeromu 70-77

Not a big story in a game in Budapest where 11th ranked MAFC (8-18) was defeated by second ranked Atomeromu (20-6) 77-70 on Saturday. MAFC was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 24-16 charge of Atomeromu, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Troy Barnies (200-89, college: Maine) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Atomeromu's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Adam Kovacs (189-93) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Deville Smith (183-91, college: Tenn-Martin) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the hosts. Four MAFC players scored in double figures. Atomeromu keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Szolnok. Loser MAFC keeps the eleventh place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Szedeak.
