The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Boncourt's (9-16) road loss to sixth ranked Massagno (11-14) 88-99 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Massagno. Boncourt managed to win fourth quarter 30-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Massagno shot 63.9 percent from the field. The former international Nicolas Dos Santos (200-87) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Jonathan Arledge (206-91, college: ODU) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Massagno and five Boncourt players scored in double figures. Massagno maintains sixth place with 11-14 record. Loser Boncourt keeps the seventh position with 16 games lost. Massagno will meet higher ranked Lugano Tigers (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Boncourt will play against Monthey and hope to secure a win.
