Regular Season Round 28: Spartak-Prim. - Novosybirsk 71-91

The game in Vladivostok supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Novosybirsk (17-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Spartak-Prim. (11-12). Novosybirsk did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 91-71 on Tuesday. Novosybirsk dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak-Prim.'s 24 and made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Novosybirsk forced 20 Spartak-Prim. turnovers. Croatian forward Jure Skific (204-88, agency: XL Basketball Agency) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Sergey Tokarev (190-85) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists. Four Novosybirsk players scored in double figures. Point guard Alexander Anisimov (187-86, agency: Alti Sport) produced 17 points and forward Pavel Aghapov (203-86) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Novosybirsk maintains second position with 17-6 record having just three points less than leader Sakhalin. Loser Spartak-Prim. keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. Novosybirsk will meet league's leader Sakhalin in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Spartak-Prim. will play against Irkut Irkutsk (#11) and hope to secure a win.
