Second Stage Round 6: Apollon - Keravnos 57-65

An interesting game for Keravnos (15-5) which played road game in Limassol against 4th ranked Apollon (9-11). Second ranked Keravnos managed to get a 8-point victory 65-57. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-8. But Apollon won third quarter 25-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Apollon 41-30 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for Canadian forward Maurice Walker (208-91, college: Minnesota) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Jake O'Brien (206-89, college: Temple, agency: HMS) contributed with 9 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Chris Braswell (206-89, college: Charlotte) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Jay-R Strowbridge (183-88, college: Oregon) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Apollon. Apollon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Keravnos maintains second position with 15-5 record having just two points less than leader Etha. Apollon lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 11 games lost.
