Sixth-ranked Cegledi EKK (10-8) made lots of trouble for first ranked MKB Euroleasing (16-2) on Saturday. The visitors from Sopron managed to secure only two-point victory 75-73. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-73. MKB Euroleasing made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American center Devereaux Peters (187-89, college: Notre Dame) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. International guard Katalin Honti (177-87) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists. Five MKB Euroleasing players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89) who recorded 20 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian center Jelena Maksimovic (192-82) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. MKB Euroleasing have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-2 record. Cegledi EKK lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with eight games lost.
