An interesting game for Sopron KC (1-0) which hosted in Sopron PVSK Pannon (0-2). Sopron KC had an easy win 75-53. The game without a history. Sopron KC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sopron KC forced 21 PVSK Pannon turnovers and outrebounded them 42-30 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the former international forward Gabor Denes (198-82) supported him with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Even 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Anthony Nelson (185-89, college: Niagara) did not help to save the game for PVSK Pannon. Naturalized Serbian guard Marko Popadic (189-89) added 11 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sopron KC will meet Falco KC (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. PVSK Pannon will have a break next round.
