LNA top team - Fribourg (20-1) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked Bellinzona (10-11) 78-63. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bellinzona. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Fribourg's pressure prevailed and they won that period 27-13 extending their advantage to 15 points. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Fribourg outrebounded Bellinzona 37-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Jazmine Davis (170-93, college: Washington, agency: LBM Management) who scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Her fellow American import power forward Toccara Ross (184-86, college: Iowa St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Tamara Nesmith (182-91, college: Mount Olive) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds and international guard Nancy Fora (173-97) added 19 points respectively. Four Bellinzona players scored in double figures. Bellinzona's coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
