Second Stage Round 4: PVSK Pannon - Falco KC 89-78

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Falco KC (2-2) against fifth ranked PVSK Pannon (1-2) on Wednesday night. Visiting Falco KC was defeated by PVSK Pannon in Pecs 89-78. The game was mostly controlled by PVSK Pannon. Falco KC managed to win third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian forward Veljko Budimir (199-85) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Anthony Nelson (185-89, college: Niagara) who added 20 points during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian power forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five PVSK Pannon and four Falco KC players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. PVSK Pannon maintains fifth position in Division with 1-2 record. Loser Falco KC dropped to the third place with two games lost. PVSK Pannon will meet league's second-placed KTE-Duna Aszfalt in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Falco KC will have a break next round.
