An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Szekesfehervar. First ranked Alba faced one of their biggest challengers Kormend. Host Alba (5-3) defeated guests from Kormend (4-4) 88-78. The game was mostly controlled by Alba. Kormend was better in third quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Kormend 43-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Naturalized Serbian Luka Markovic (196-93) notched 29 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists by American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTRGV) did not help to save the game for Kormend. American point guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) added 20 points and 7 assists for lost side. Five Kormend players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Alba went down to second position (Division) due to points difference. Kormend at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost.
