Second Stage Round 10: Sopron KC - Kaposvari 90-77

The biggest surprise took place in Sopron where host Sopron KC (5-3) beat group's leader Kaposvari (4-4) 90-77 on Wednesday evening. It was a key game for the top position in Division. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Sopron KC dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Kaposvari's 36. Canadian point guard Hernst Laroche (185-89, college: N.Mexico St., agency: HMS) fired 20 points, 6 assists and 6 steals for the winners. American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Sopron KC's coach Balazs Sabali used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Marton Fodor (192-81) produced 22 points and 6 assists and forward Szilard Benke (196-95) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sopron KC keeps a position of Division leader. Kaposvari at the other side dropped to the third place with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Szolnok.
