Regular Season Round 2: ELTE-BEAC - PEAC-Pecs 68-69

Important game to mention about took place in Budapest. PEAC-Pecs (2-0) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging BEAC-Ujbuda (0-2) 69-68 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-10. But BEAC-Ujbuda won second period 14-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lithuania power forward Egle Siksniute (198-91) notched 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Jessica Kuster (188-92, college: Rice) supported her with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Even 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists by Reka Lelik (178-99) did not help to save the game for BEAC-Ujbuda. Swingman Petra Pusztai (177-99) added 16 points for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. PEAC-Pecs will play against MTK (#10) in Budapest in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BEAC-Ujbuda will play at home against Cegledi EKK to get more than just one victory in their record.
