Regular Season Round 2: Khimky-Podmos. - Ryazan 67-70

A very interesting game took place in Khimky. It ended with only three-point home defeat of Khimky-Podmoskoye (0-2) to Ryazan (2-0) 70-67 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Forward Dmitry Korshakov (201-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. Ivan Rusetskiy (198-93) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Ryazan players scored in double figures. Point guard Timofey Yakushin (194-97) replied with 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Vasily Martynov (188-95) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Khimky-Podmoskoye. Khimky-Podmoskoye's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Ryazan's next round opponent will be Irkut Irkutsk at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Khimky-Podmoskoye will play against Sakhalin (#5) in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and hope to win that game.
