Regular Season Round 2: Alba - Falco KC 77-72

Very predictable result in Szekesfehervar where Alba (2-0) defeated Falco KC (0-1) 77-72. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 24-14 run, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Winston Shepard (203-93, college: San Diego St.) notched 15 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) to lead the effort and Canadian guard Justin Edwards (190-92, college: Kansas St.) supported him with 14 points. Alba's coach Branislav Dzunic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists by American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) did not help to save the game for Falco KC. His fellow American import forward Ray Turner (206-90, college: Texas A&M) added 13 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Alba will play against MAFC (#14) in Budapest in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Falco KC will play at home against Vasas (#12) to get more than just one victory in their record.
