Regular Season Round 1: Lausanne - Starwings 64-73

An interesting game took place in Lausanne where Lausanne (0-1) was upset on its own court by Starwings (1-0) 73-64. The game without a history. Starwings led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Starwings outrebounded Lausanne 30-19 including a 22-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Chris Jones (188-93, college: Angelo St.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Durell Vinson (201-85, college: Wagner) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Anton Wilson (196, college: Detroit Mercy) answered with 18 points and guard Karl Cochran (185-92, college: Wofford) added 17 points in the effort for Lausanne. Starwings' next round opponent will be Swiss Central (#5) in Luzern. Lausanne will play on the road against Geneve Lions and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
