Regular Season Round 1: Lugano Tigers - Winterthur 85-58

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Winterthur (0-1) on the court of Lugano Tigers. Visitors were rolled over by Lugano Tigers 85-58. It looked good early as Winterthur took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Lugano Tigers had a 25-18 second period charge getting the lead and Winterthur was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 58-85. American guard Rashad Whack (190-91, college: Mt.St.Mary's) came up with 14 points and power forward Mohamed Souare (200-92) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Winterthur in the defeat. Lugano Tigers will play against Neuchatel (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Winterthur will play against Monthey to get more than just one victory in their record.
