Regular Season Round 3: PEAC-Pecs - MTK 77-55

PEAC-Pecs smashed MTK at home 77-55. The game without a history. PEAC-Pecs led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MTK to just 7 points in fourth quarter. PEAC-Pecs dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to MTK's 28. PEAC-Pecs forced 19 MTK turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Jessica Kuster (188-92, college: Rice) who scored 23 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Dorka Juhasz (189-99) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Orsolya Zsovar (180-84) who recorded 19 points and 4 assists and guard Dora Koch (175-93) added 9 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MTK will play next round against strong MKB Euroleasing trying to get back on the winning streak. PEAC-Pecs will try to continue on its current victory against PINKK-Pecsi. It will be extra interesting game as PINKK-Pecsi is their local rival from Pecs.
