Regular Season Round 3: Falco KC - Vasas 88-80

Falco KC used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Budapest 88-80 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 48-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American point guard Lester Medford (178-93, college: Baylor, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. International guard Benedek Varadi (195-95) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Falco KC players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward A.J. Pacher (208-92, college: Wright St.) with 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and the other American import point guard Ronnie Taylor (187-81, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 16 points and 6 assists. Vasas' coach Bulcsu Sarosi rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Falco KC will meet Szolnok (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vasas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Budapest MAFC.
