Regular Season Round 4: Riva - Pully 48-84

Pully can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Riva San Vitale, where they outplayed Riva (1-2) 84-48 on Saturday. The game without a history. Pully led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Riva to just 4 points in third quarter. Pully dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Riva's 28. Pully forced 24 Riva turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Riva's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Asia Logan (184-92, college: Pittsburgh) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import swingman Kristina King (180-92, college: Richmond) who added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. King is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Pully players scored in double figures. At the losing side Canadian power forward Julie Seabrook (189-90, college: Colorado) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds and guard Marta Augugliaro (165-0) scored 11 points. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Pully (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with BBC Troist. Loser Riva dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with Winterthur. Pully will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Riva will play against Bellinzona (#3) and hope to win that game.
