Swiss Central used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Neuchatel 61-53. The game without a history. Swiss Central led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a very good performance for Serbian guard Nemanja Kovacevic (194-85) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 8 rebounds. Bulgaria forward Veselin Veselinov (202-83, college: W.Virginia St.) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Durand Johnson (198-92, college: St.John's) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Brian Savoy (189-92) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Neuchatel. Swiss Central's next round opponent will be Starwings (#4) in Basel. Neuchatel will play at home against Lugano Tigers and hope to win that game.
