Regular Season Round 4: Atomeromu - Cegledi EKK 73-70

Important game to mention about took place in Szekszard. Sixth ranked Atomeromu (2-1) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd ranked Cegledi EKK (2-2) 73-70 on Wednesday evening. Atomeromu made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Atomeromu outrebounded Cegledi EKK 34-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Cegledi EKK was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenia center Eva Lisec (192-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Slovenia swingman Maja Erkic (183-85) who added 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Atomeromu's coach Zeljko Djokic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds (made all of her sixteen free throws !!!) and international guard Dora Medgyessy (174-86) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Atomeromu moved-up to fourth place, which they share with ZTE NKK and Miskolc. Cegledi EKK at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Vasas Akademia. Atomeromu will play against Miskolc (#5) on the road in the next round. Cegledi EKK will have a break next round.
