Regular Season Round 4: Atomeromu - Jaszberenyi 69-77

Everything could happen in Paks at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Jaszberenyi and 10th ranked Atomeromu had identical 1-2 record. But Atomeromu was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Jaszberenyi 77-69 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-69. Jaszberenyi forced 24 Atomeromu turnovers. It was a very good performance for American guard Brent Arrington (190, college: Morehead St.) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian power forward Svetozar Stamenkovic (206-90) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Jaszberenyi players scored in double figures. American power forward Matt Tiby (203-92, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Cameron Forte (201-93, college: Portland St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Atomeromu. Jaszberenyi (2-2) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Falco KC and Kaposvari. Loser Atomeromu dropped to the twelfth position with three games lost. Jaszberenyi will face league's second-placed Alba in Szekesfehervar in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Atomeromu will play on the road against Kaposvari (#5) and hope to win that game.
