Very expected game when Neuchatel (0-2) was defeated at home by Lugano Tigers (2-0) 74-58 on Saturday. Neuchatel was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Lugano Tigers dominated on the defensive end, holding Neuchatel to just 6 points in fourth quarter. The best player for the winners was American guard Tristan Carey (193-91, college: Longwood) who scored 23 points. The other American import forward Nick West (208-94, college: Alabama A&M) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian power forward Zoran Krstanovic (204-82) produced 8 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Dominican guard Bryan Colon (181-92) added 16 points respectively for the hosts. Lugano Tigers is looking forward to face Swiss Central (#6) in Luzern in the next round where they are favorite. Neuchatel will play on the road against Starwings in Basel and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
