The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Szolnok as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Szolnok defeated 4th ranked Falco KC at home 88-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Falco KC. The game without a history. Szolnok led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Falco KC was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Troy Barnies (200-89, college: Maine) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds and international swingman David Vojvoda (196-90) who added 20 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) responded with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and his fellow American import point guard Lester Medford (178-93, college: Baylor, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Szolnok have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Falco KC at the other side dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with Kaposvari and Jaszberenyi. Falco KC will play next round against Szedeak trying to get back on the winning streak. Szolnok will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked MAFC at Budapest.
