Regular Season Round 6: Kupol-Rodniki - MBA Moscow 71-48

Kupol-Rodniki has finally registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat MBA Moscow (1-4) 71-48. Kupol-Rodniki forced 20 MBA Moscow turnovers and outrebounded them 40-23 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Andrey Petukhov (207-86) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Center Aleksey Karpeko (204-89) contributed with 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Alexei Kuznetsov (205-84) replied with 9 points and forward Sergey Toporov (197-81, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 3 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for MBA Moscow. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kupol-Rodniki (1-3) left bottom position moving up to tenth place. MBA Moscow at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. Kupol-Rodniki's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ryazan (#9) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. MBA Moscow will play against Universitet-Yugra in Surgut and hope to win that game.
