Nika can celebrate their first win this season after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Dynamo-2 M. (0-3) 74-59 on Saturday. Nika forced 23 Dynamo-2 M. turnovers. Forward Kseniya Andreeva (185-92) stepped up and scored 27 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and forward Marina Sheveleva (184-89) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Anastasia Zakharova (-97) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Alexandra Kirina (190-96) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Nika (1-2) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Sparta&K-2 V. It was Dynamo-2 M.'s third loss in a row. Dynamo-2 M. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with three games lost. Nika will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dynamo-2 M. will play against Neftyanik (#3) in Omsk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
