Regular Season Round 6: UMMC Junior - Neftyanik 81-75

The most important game in the last round took place in Ekaterinburg between third ranked Neftyanik (3-3) and seventh ranked UMMC Junior (3-3) on Sunday night. Neftyanik was defeated by UMMC Junior in a tough game on the road 75-81. UMMC Junior made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Neftyanik turnovers. It was a good game for point guard Yuliya Sorokina (176-94) who led her team to a victory with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Daria Levchenko (182-94) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Guard Elena Elgina (170-87) replied with 21 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and power forward Kseniya Chinaeva (180-89) added 9 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Neftyanik. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UMMC Junior moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Neftyanik. Neftyanik lost third consecutive game.
