Regular Season Round 6: Szedeak - MAFC 94-67
Date: November 5, 2016
No shocking result in a game in Szeged where eleventh ranked Szedeak (2-2) smashed bottom-ranked MAFC (1-5) 94-67. The game without a history. Szedeak led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. It was a good game for the former international power forward Levente Juhos (208-91, college: Moberly Area CC) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 8 rebounds. Bulgaria Ivan Lilov (194-88, agency: Two Points) contributed with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Szedeak players scored in double figures. American point guard Deville Smith (183-91, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Two Points) replied with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and swingman Adam Kovacs (189-93) added 21 points in the effort for MAFC. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Szedeak moved-up to seventh place, which they share with ZTE KK and PVSK Pannon. MAFC at the other side stay at the bottom position with five games lost. They share it with Atomeromu. Szedeak will play against higher ranked Sopron KC (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. MAFC will play against the league's second-placed Kormend (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
