Regular Season Round 7: Rostov - Nika 85-61

Very expected game when 10th ranked Nika (1-5) was crushed on the road by second ranked BC Rostov (6-2) 85-61 on Tuesday. BC Rostov forced 19 Nika turnovers. Forward Yana Kotova (186-88) fired 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Anastasia Maksimova (182-92) chipped in 16 points (made all of her eight free throws). Forward Kseniya Andreeva (185-92) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and forward Marina Sheveleva (184-89) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for BC Rostov. BC Rostov maintains second place with 6-2 record having just two point less than leader Dynamo-Farm. Nika lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with five games lost. BC Rostov will meet at home Dynamo-2 M. (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Nika will play against Stavropol and hope to win that game.
