Regular Season Round 8: MBA-2 - UMMC Junior 72-64

The most important game in the last round took place in Moscow between third ranked UMMC Junior (3-4) and seventh ranked MBA-2 (3-2) on Friday night. UMMC Junior was defeated by MBA-2 in a tough game on the road 64-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of UMMC Junior. MBA-2 forced 23 UMMC Junior turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard Yulia Kozik (176-97) who scored 26 points and 4 assists. Aleksandra Ivanova (-99) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Olga Lavrova (182-95) produced 13 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Elizaveta Komarova (172-95, agency: LBM Management) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA-2 have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. UMMC Junior at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. MBA-2 are again looking forward to face UMMC Junior (#7) in Ekaterinburg in the next round. UMMC Junior will have a break next round.
