Bottom-ranked Winterthur is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to tenth ranked Lausanne (2-4) 86-59 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Lausanne led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Winterthur's 28. Lausanne forced 21 Winterthur turnovers. American players dominated the game. Guard Karl Cochran (185-92, college: Wofford) notched 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the effort and guard Anton Wilson (196, college: Detroit Mercy) supported him with 26 points and 9 rebounds. Lausanne's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 17 points by guard Jordan Downing (196-92, college: Presbyterian) did not help to save the game for Winterthur. Forward Sean Sheldon (209, college: William & Mary) added 6 points and 8 rebounds. Lausanne moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Lugano Tigers. Loser Winterthur still closes the standings with five games lost. Lausanne will meet at home higher ranked Boncourt (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Winterthur will play against Starwings (#5) in Basel and hopes to get finally their first victory.
