No shocking result in a game when second ranked Monthey (4-1) beat at home 6th ranked Massagno (2-3) 104-94. Monthey dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Massagno's 36. The best player for the winners was naturalized French Mikael Maruotto (201-91) who scored 29 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American power forward Jordan Heath (208-91, college: Canisius, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU, agency: Two Points) who recorded 29 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Danish center Jonas Bergstedt (210-91) added 21 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Five Monthey and four Massagno players scored in double figures. Monthey used an opportunity after Geneve Lions lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Massagno at the other side dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. Monthey's next round opponent will be Lugano Tigers (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Massagno will play against the league's leader Geneve Lions and hope to win that game.
