Regular Season Round 8: MAFC - PVSK Pannon 58-92

Not a big story in a game in Budapest where 14th ranked MAFC (1-7) was rolled over by fifth ranked PVSK Pannon (4-3) 92-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. PVSK Pannon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for PVSK Pannon especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Zoltan Supola (190-88, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds and Bosnian center Ismet Sejfic (208-93) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five PVSK Pannon players scored in double figures. American point guard Deville Smith (183-91, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Two Points) responded with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Indian-Canadian forward Robbie Sihota (201-87) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory PVSK Pannon went down to sixth position due to points difference, which they share with ZTE KK. MAFC lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. PVSK Pannon will face Sopron KC (#8) at home in the next round. MAFC will play against KTE-Duna (#12) in Kecskemet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
