Another interesting game for Starwings (3-2) which played on the court of one of their biggest challengers Boncourt (3-3). Seventh ranked Starwings won 82-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Boncourt. The guests were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 24-19 Boncourt's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 82-73 at the end of the game. The former international point guard Joel Fuchs (190-89) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Octavius Brown (206-93, college: Alcorn St.) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Trey Sumler (188, college: W.Carolina) with 20 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Kinu Rochford (195-90, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: HMS) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Starwings and four Boncourt players scored in double figures. Starwings moved-up to fifth place. Boncourt at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Starwings will play against bottom-ranked Winterthur (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Boncourt will play against Lausanne (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
