Important game to mention about took place in Ekaterinburg. Sixth ranked Samara (5-5) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked UMMC Junior (4-8) 76-73 on Thursday evening. Forward Olga Ovcharenko (185-79) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and guard Kristina Evseytcheva (174-91) accounted for 14 points. Four Samara players scored in double figures. Point guard Elizaveta Komarova (172-95, agency: LBM Management) came up with 18 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Sabina Abaidullina (181-97) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for UMMC Junior in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Samara moved-up to fourth place, which they share with MBA-2. UMMC Junior lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost.
