It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Dynamo Kursk. It was a key game for the top position in the league. UMMC Ekaterinburg forced 23 Dynamo Kursk turnovers. Italian-American Diana Taurasi (182-82, college: Connecticut) fired 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Spanish forward Alba Torrens (188-89) chipped in 13 points and 7 assists. American Angel McCoughtry (187-86, college: Louisville) produced 21 points and 9 rebounds and Nigerian-American power forward Nneka Ogwumike (189-90, college: Stanford) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. UMMC Ekaterinburg have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Dynamo Kursk at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Nadezhda O.. They were replaced at the leadership position by UMMC. Dynamo Kursk will play next round against Enisey Krasnoyarsk trying to make it back to the top of the standings.
