Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kormend (6-2) against eighth ranked Falco KC (4-5) on Tuesday night. Visiting Kormend was defeated by Falco KC in Szombathely 85-69. It was a good game for American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) who led his team to a victory with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import point guard Lester Medford (178-93, college: Baylor, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American forward Terry Allen (203-93, college: Richmond) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTRGV) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Kormend. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Falco KC maintains eighth place with 4-5 record, which they share with Sopron KC and Jaszberenyi. Kormend at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Falco KC will play against higher ranked Kaposvari (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kormend will play against KTE-Duna in Kecskemet and hopes to get back on the winning track.
