The game in Boncourt was also quite interesting. Third ranked Monthey (5-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Boncourt (3-5). Monthey did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 78-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Monthey. Boncourt managed to win fourth quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Markel Humphrey (198-86, college: Marshall, agency: Three Eye Sports) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import power forward Jordan Heath (208-91, college: Canisius, agency: Inception Sports) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Monthey's coach Niksa Bavcevic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian-Montenegrin center Nemanja Calasan (204-85, college: Purdue, agency: HMS) responded with 9 points and 14 rebounds and forward Vincent Gaillard (203-93) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Monthey keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Boncourt lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Lausanne and Lugano Tigers. Monthey will meet at home Neuchatel (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Boncourt will have a break next round.
