MBA's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Spartak Noginsk (0-8) 93-56. MBA made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Spartak Noginsk turnovers and outrebounded them 42-31 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. MBA players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Spartak Noginsk was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Maria Kaytukova (173-92) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 6 assists and Anna Leshovceva (181-87) who added 18 points and 4 steals during the contest. Center Yuliya Garkavskaya (203-91) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Marina Krivolapova (181-86) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. MBA maintains tenth position with 1-5 record. It was Spartak Noginsk's sixth loss in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. MBA will play against higher ranked Vologda-Chevakata (#5) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Spartak Noginsk will play against the league's second-placed Dynamo Kursk (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
