Regular Season Round 9: UNIQA Sopron - ZTE NKK 72-52

The game with biggest result difference took place in Sopron. Local MKB Euroleasing (6-2) outscored 5th ranked ZTE NKK (5-3) 72-52. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ZTE NKK. The game was mostly controlled by MKB Euroleasing. ZTE NKK was better in fourth quarter 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-20 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. MKB Euroleasing outrebounded ZTE NKK 49-36 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by ZTE NKK helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Serbian forward Aleksandra Crvendakic (188-96) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side and Australian center Cayla George (192-89) accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds. International point guard Dora Nagy (170-95) came up with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Gyorgyi Ori (184-90) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for ZTE NKK in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. MKB Euroleasing have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Atomeromu. ZTE NKK at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. MKB Euroleasing's next round opponent will be Miskolc (#5) at home. ZTE NKK will play against the league's leader PEAC-Pecs and hope to win that game.
