Regular Season Round 10: Sopron KC - KTE-Duna 71-55

Rather expected game when 11th ranked KTE-Duna (3-5) lost on the road to eighth ranked Sopron KC (5-5) 71-55 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sopron KC. KTE-Duna was better in third quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding KTE-Duna to just 4 points in fourth quarter. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Jay Threatt (180-89, college: Delaware St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 assists and 4 steals. The other American import guard Julien Mills (193-85, college: Ball St., agency: HMS) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Sopron KC players scored in double figures. Montenegrin point guard Milutin Djukanovic (190-91) replied with 15 points and 4 assists and naturalized Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90, agency: 011 Sports) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for KTE-Duna. Sopron KC moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Falco KC. Loser KTE-Duna keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. Sopron KC will face higher ranked ZTE KK (#6) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KTE-Duna will play at home against Jaszberenyi (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
