Regular Season Round 10: Dynamo M. - Spartak N. 93-49

Bottom-ranked Spartak Noginsk (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 93-49 loss to fifth ranked Dynamo Moscow (4-6) in Moscow. They dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Noginsk's 14. Dynamo Moscow forced 21 Spartak Noginsk turnovers and outrebounded them 42-15 including a 29-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dynamo Moscow shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Olga Vorobyeva (184-87, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 21 points. British-Australian center Alexandra Bunton (198-93) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Dynamo Moscow players scored in double figures. Forward Marina Krivolapova (181-86) replied with 13 points and 5 steals and guard Maria Merzliakova (180-86) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Spartak Noginsk. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Dynamo Moscow went down to sixth position due to points difference. Spartak Noginsk at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Dynamo Moscow will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Spartak Noginsk will play at home against Vologda-Chevakata (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
